Mini was founded in England in the late 1960's. The MINI brand was launched in 2001 and BMW took over brand responsibility for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 2003. Since BMW has has been involved, MINI has become more expensive to service and maintain. Like other automotive brands, MINI Cooper, has a it's fair share of commonly known issues. Since these vehicles are so small, it takes a skilled mechanic to work on them. Some of MINI's common issues have to do with the CVT transmission, the front radiator support, the electronic power steering pump, the water pump, and the thermostat housing leaks, to name a few.
